Hi to all,
I found your forum and am hoping that you can help my sister and I. Our father spent his entire life in the gaming industry (starting years ago as a Wurlitzer distributor) and then the last 25 years buying and reconditioning juke boxes and pin games. He passed away last month taking with him his valuable knowledge.

Anyways, he has SO much stuff that my sister and I don't know where to start. He has hundreds of "original" manuals from Wurlitzer, rock-ola, Rowe, Gottlieb; thousands and thousands of records; all kinds of parts and pieces to fix juke boxes and pin games; and many machines that were in various stages of repair.

We don't know if we can sell any of these things on your forum. Also, any advice would be helpful. Thank you for your time.
Pamela

Pamela,

This stuff could be sold here but it will require some work on your part. Most people on these forums are collectors and we want to buy only the parts we need so you'd need to inventory what you have and then post what you have for sale. I don't have a good grasp on the cost of parts for jukes but once you have the parts identified just plug the info into the search engine here and you should get some idea of what the parts sold for in the past.

I suggest doing this with one type of part at a time. For instance, inventorying the manuals shouldn't be too difficult and you can post them all in one for sale thread. I do need to warn you that as collectors, many people are looking for like new manuals to finish off restorations, but useable "working copies" are also valuable to some people.

Thanks,
I have actually inventoried 90 % of the manuals. Should I take pictures of all of them as well?

Pictures are good, especially if there is any obvious damage or writing on them. However, I wouldn't bother posting the pictures unless specificly asked about one. It sounds like you have way too many to post pics of.

Are you capable of posting in the 'For Sale' section of these forums yet? I know there was some sort of restrictions put on it in order to reduce spam but I don't know if that is still in effect and how it actually works.

I'm just finishing with his Gottlieb manuals and then I'll go see if I can post in the for sale section. Thanks again..

It might be easier just selling it all to someone like Victory Glass who deals in new and used parts. You might not get as much but they might just buy it all and save you some time.

Hi to all that have sent me a message. We live in Albany, NY (if that helps anyone help us)! We are actually thinking of selling one item at a time which all of you will prob. tell us is stupid, but it's so hard to find anyone who can tell us what all of his stuff is worth.

Have you talked to Tom at Greco Brothers Amusements here in Albany? not sure if they can help you or not but i know they have a couple of pallets of 45's and a couple jukes.

they might be able to give you a name of someone who can help if they cannot. they're open M-F till 5pm (closed on weekends).

I now have a complete list of the manuals in an excel spreadsheet. Where should I post this?
