Hey guys. So I have an MK2 cab that I want to do some minor touchups on the CP before I add some new tmolding. There's just a couple chips I'd like to fix. I don't feel like these repairs justify stripping the CP and applying new art/decals. What would you use to just fill some chips that you want to paint? I'm thinking maybe not bondo since it's not a structual repair that I want to sand. Is there a putty or some other product that's best for this that I can just add some touch up paint to and not have to sand? I also don't want to create more damage by sanding, since I don't plan to fully strip it.

Thanks in advance.

It looks like the damage is isolated to just the "Midway" logo end caps of the CP. I know you said you didn't wanna deal with new decals but it's possible to get just the end cap decals. Meaning, if you wanted to strip JUST the ends, do a legit repair, then slap on two small decals, it wouldn't be that big of a repair.

Just a thought.

i don't know of anything that you could use that did not require sanding, bondo or 2 part wood epoxy should be fine, just use a tiny sanding block & be very careful taking your sweet time sanding it down and you'll be fine
have done similar repairs to pinball cabinets and they turned out ok

btw, the 2 part wood epoxy gets hard as a rock so try to sand most of it off before it gets completely hard

airbrushed with fluid acrylic carbon black

I still think Bondo is the best choice here. Take painters tape and surround the area. Mix a small amount of Bondo and apply. Don't put it on very thick. After it dries, you can sand and since the painters tape is there, you won't habe to worry about fucking up the other parts of the CPO. Repeat this process until you get it to where you are happy. Remember those tiny paint brushes you used as a kid? Well, those come in handy for those small spots.. Or, you can bock it all off and give it a quick spray.
