Anyone know which tubes and yokes work with a K7000 med res chassis? I need a 19" tube.

I am willing to order new.

Thanks!

From what I know, you need a 10-pin, large neck (29mm) tube - just like is used by G07, K4600, K4900, etc. And you need a yoke with measurements:

H - 2.0-2.5 ohms
V - 14 ohms (approx).

Finding a tube isn't hard (any CR-23 tube will work). Harder to find the yoke, I'd think, as it would need to fit the deflection angle of the tube...

Isn't there some site that sells new tubes? I remember finding it when searching for a tube model number. Anyone know the tube model number for the K7000 medium res?

I have a K7000 medium-res showing up here in a few minutes, so I'll let you know...

No. I used and sold these mainly for vector games as these are the sought-after 'amplifone' crt's. But they are actually what was used in raster medium res applications as well, but I don't have any medium res raster stuff personally.... so no yoke sorry..

And p.s. you won't find this crt in stock anywhere anymore. I had the last ones.

Without a yoke it is useless. Thanks, anyways.

You CAN use a normal standard resolution tube. It'll still look better than the standard resolution monitor - just not quite as nice as true medium res. Ironically enough, the TV set I have on my bench right now, an Admiral (Sharp chassis) from 1995 has a large neck tube with with almost the same resistance measurements you listed (2.5/14.5). That tube should plug and play. Shouldn't be hard to find a workable tube/yoke combination in a television.
