Well someone did. I was asked to construct one of these 4.5" high bases for somebody's single monitor PC-10. I figured out a way to build it so that it can be installed by the buyer with minimal hassle. I assembled, primed and painted it and added flush mounting blocks to the inside edge. I may offer this service on a limited basis if anyone else needs one. Each one takes about a week. Cost will be $85 shipped for this style, $65 shipped for the standard 3.5 inch Ninty base without the wheels. Sound like the cost is too high? Then build your own. Pics:

Well I have this packed and ready to ship, now to see what the cost will be for parcel post thru USPS. It actually pained me to pack this beauty up for shipping, as I still need one for my own PC-10 project. Anyone else need this service, LMK.

Didn't Nintendo have the wheels in the base more? I'm not knocking what you built, as I would buy one, but I was just wondering. Its probably a lot of effing work to do that, yeah?

Only on the DK cabs. On the R-Type, dedicated Vs. and dedicated SM PC-10 cabs, they put the wheels directly on the base with bolts and t-nuts.

these look great phet....

would something like this work on a TAITO or GOTTLIEB style cab?

I've built those style bases too, they are similar, but use factory metal hardware on the corners. They can be assembled and shipped as well, as long as I have the necessary hardware to put on them to make them 'factory'.

very cool man..

both my zk and qbert bases are beat to hell. i would def order one of these from you in the near distant future.
