I just replaced the light in the marquee and now that it's on, light pours down the bezel glass. Can anyone shoot a picture behind a Joust marquee so I can see how the bezel was shielded from the light?

Many thanks in advance!!

Joust machines do that. There is a gap behind the speaker that lets light drops down on the bezel and illuminates the control panel a bit. I thought I had a bad one too until I started looking at old pics and even some videos and realised that's part of the machine. I have seen some people cover it up though.

You can get some rubber weatherstripping stuff and put it inside the marquee area right over that crack to keep it from showing through.

I have it on my Robotron, and have been thinking it might have been a way for the manufacturers to illuminate the control panel for dark arcades....

I would have to agree with you on the probable functionality. I thought about fitting the space with a piece of tinted plexi to keep the stock look but back down the amount of light. After a while I got used to the lit up CPO idea and let it go.

So I finally pulled everything together.
Definitely looks like the light is intentional.

Even if it's not intentional, it's way cool. I love it on my Joust, but it does force you to keep the glass clean.

You aren't kidding on the glass, thats the whole reason I started this thread because I thought surly it can't be right (my glass was filthy).
