Hello,

My showcase cabinet needs a game.

I bought it with Blitz 99 in it and the board crapped out and isn't working, I cannot get the screen to hold on it.

I bought another blitz 99 board off the forums and it worked great for a weekend. After the first weekend the board plays red. The game plays fine, but only displays red.

I have tried my double dribble game in the cabinet and the colors are fine.

I haven't had any luck finding a cheap replacement blitz board so i am thinking of rewiring it and putting a different game into it.

But I am stumped on what game to get and I am looking for some suggestions.

If possible I would like to go 4 player game but a 2 player game would be fine.

I also am not looking to sell the farm on this and am looking for something decent priced but still fun to play.

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks

Mike

Smash T.V., Rampart .. be some I would like to see.

I think one of the gauntlet games (Legends or Dark Legacy) would be pretty cool. Also, Rampart like Ghostlyguy suggested would be cool as well. But I think that game only supports 3 players.

I've always seen fighting games in showcase cabs (on route at least). Only place locally that had one had Virtua Fighter in it I think

I would do Soul Calibur II or maybe Tekken for fighting, or TMNT, since its 4 player.

I worked on a blitz for a guy once that did a very similar thing. IT was all green but still played.. I thought monitor for sure. I tested with a good blitz board and it did the same thing so I'm thinking monitor. To be sure, I used a hard drive that was differant then what was in his cab and son of a gun it came up!! it turned out to be a bad image on his HD causing it. Wierd as can be. I imaged him a new drive and he is still working fine to this day. Moral of the story... It could be your drive..

It might be the drive I don't know. The board that can't keep it hold shows the correct color. I may have to grab a drive off of flea bay to see if that helps.

I thought of going with a xxxx-n-1 pcb. not sure about it yet.

Gauntlet type game might be an option I would have to save up some money for that.
Or a fighting game.

Guess I will have to keep my eyes open on the for sale board and ebay.

I can image a drive and shoot it to you. PM me your address and I'll dig up an HD to use. I know I've got plenty of them laying around.
