Need a few Club Nintendo coins

thanks for the info man...

i noticed you can buy the old school GAME N WATCHES 1 and 2 on the club store? are these worth the 900 or so coins?

I've got the 1st Game & Watch Collection and almost have enough for the 2nd one (they are 800 coins each). I think they are pretty cool, but I also collect the original Game & Watch handhelds so I'm a bit biased. I'm currently up to 30 out of 60 of the original G&Ws.

Just saw that they offer a lot of the G&W series as DSiWare, or so it seems.

Compared to the DS collection versions, that is a lot...

That's true. I guess there aren't 60 unique games either. Egg and Mickey Mouse widescreen are basically the same and several of the other games were released in multiple formats.

i stopped reading so if you have these already than ignore, but if not i bought my kid a ds last year and she has a few games i am sure you dont have like pet shop and a couple other girly games. If you still need let me know and ill get what i can.

From what I recall, only certain games actually get you points. Nick, do you know where that list is these days? It used to be buried in the support section, but I'm hoping you have the direct link :D

I've never actually seen any list. I just went through all of my Wii and DS games that came with PINs and put them in. Some I got points for and some I didn't. I think as long as it's a Nintendo published game that is not too old it will earn you coins.

Fair enough. Guess I just need to go in and register the rest that I didn't get to last year once I hit the elite status. I just noticed I have tons of surveys to do which might net me 10 coins each. It's something. Let's see how many I can get without actually buy much of anything this year. Most of what I DO get, while be left overs from last year.

I just went on there to do the post play survey for Diabolical Box (Muggs gave me her code to help me out) and I realized I never did the survey after I linked my DSi to my Club Nintendo account. That gave me another 160 coins which put me up to 830 total and gave me platinum status for the year. I just ordered the Game & Watch Collection 2 though so I'm back down to 30 coins. I hear they're giving away new black Wiis to all the platinum studs this year.

Found the list for anyone interested. Also, just by digging through my DS games and finishing off the surveys I've had sitting there, I've racked up...wait, my DSi registration was never completed either. Score. Now I sit a 630 point. Not bad. Tempted to see if I can make it to 800 to get GWC2, but I don't know. I never opened the first one, though I played it elsewhere. Might do the same with this one, I don't know.

Come to think of it, I never linked my Wii and my Club Nintendo account. I wonder if I would get coins for that. I suppose I would at least get some coins for some of the games I downloaded. I'm gonna wait to do it though. Any coins I get between now and June 30th won't count towards platinum status for next year, although I could still use them for rewards.

So how many coins do you get per game? I've got maybe six of the Wii titles, and six of the DS ones on that list. Between those and the surveys, would I have enough coins to get anything cool? I tried to sign up when it was new, but the system was so swamped that I wasn't able to actually get it to work.

after seeing all this talk about COINS ... i went ahead and signed up for club nintendo too :)

damn this collectin' coins thing is addictive. thanks to nick for gettin' me hooked on this. doh!

ive been registering my wii and ds games, sadly i threw some of the code sheets out when i opened the games. im up a little over 600 coins now. i def wanna get up to 800 so i can pruchase one of the GAME N WATCH collections.

i ended up buying the DSI XL bronze a few days ago and love it. the screens are huge, its heavy and built rugged, but has a real nice feel (esp for an adult player).

anyone setup a FAMILY account yet? chris

30 coins for a DS game
50 for WII games
160 coins for a DSI
80 coins for a wii fit w/ balance board

get those coins registered!

Yeah, I ended up calling Nintendo Support so they could get me in back then. Good times.

Also 10 coins for some surveys you might get. Don't forget the "Intend to buy" ones too. I assume everyone will be getting Mario Galaxy 2, so that one's up there right now.

So based on that math, I have maybe 600 coins... Looks like the only things I might want are 800 coins. I'm definitely getting Galaxy 2, so that would add another 50, do you guys thing there are enough surveys to hit 800?

Possibly. But who cares in the short term? 600 will get you platinum status which means free rewards come summer time :) Also, to my knowledge they don't expire (though reward items may go away, I guess), and even if they do, it's probably a long time from now (the surveys are up for like 3 years or some shit just waiting on you to do them).

"After Play" surveys come up after you register some of those games. Also, if you have games that don't give coins for registering, you might still get coins from doing a survey about said games. So who knows? A lot of the coins I got this time around came from a backlog of surveys I had left over from last time.
