I own a video action table (circa 1975), and when I bought it, the picture and everything was fine and dandy. Now, there is inconsistency with the picture. I think what I ended up doing was trying to resize the picture to fit the tube better, and must have turned the wrong pot or something, but haven't been able to get it back to how it was. With this monitor, adjusting one attribute affects another in some cases (which may be what happened). What happens is the picture is expanded in one place, then contracted in another, so it appears that the ball speeds up and slows down while playing (which makes playing pong-like games very difficult). Does anyone know how to smooth out the picture so I can enjoy my table once again? Thanks in advance.

Photos always help for monitor issues. Also, what kind of monitor is it? (make & model)

I'll get a video up in a bit. Not sure about the make and model I don't see a brand name on the chassis or tube. I did see a corner of the chassis that was cracked just now, but I don't think the traces are broken. At some point, I should probably bridge those traces with wires just to be on the safe side.

This monitor is older than in any those pictures I believe.
Ok. Well, definitely post some photos of the chassis. I bet someone here will know what it is.
Video can be found here http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v207/stuffmonger/cabs/?action=view&current=pongprob.flv
notice how in the middle, the dot appears to travel faster than on the edges.
I can't really see what the symptom is in the video. Is it a problem with vertical movement, or horizontal? Look closely at one of the "nets". They'll be made up of many short horizontal lines. Are the lines the same distance apart for the whole net, or are the ones in the center of the net farther apart than the ones at the top or bottom?

I think it's horizontally stretched in the middle, then compressed near the top and bottom. At the top, you can also see that the scores are messed up a bit.
