Anyone ever have an arching coming from the neck board socket? I was working on an unknown chassis tonight did a tube swap the ohms in the yoke were off by 5 didn't have anything else to use so we tried it anyway every thing worked okay bad picture of course but when we tried adjusting the pin cushion setting it would then arch where the fly back connects to the neck socket. I pulled it apart but it was soldered in correctly. I know this combination will never work but was curious if the chassis has problems or if it's related to the wrong yoke.

The last time I had this happen it was the ground wire. It had broken, and I hadn't seen it until it started arcing and I started to poke around.

I've also had this happen with the focus line's spark gap inside the plastic socket becoming corroded. I've had a few......where I could kill the shop lights......and see the plastic socket housing glowing from the internal arcing.
