NBA/NFL Sportstation 3.0 CHD file

Upgraded my fully working NBA showtime vegas 777 board from 2.5 to a possible 3.0 Sportstation. Installed the 3.0 security pic from arcadeservice and burned the 3.0 boot rom to a 27c040. When I attempt to burn the compact flash. im getting a black screen on game mode, and in test mode the hdd checks are bad and say fail.
However I'm getting a solid green light on the hdd activity led meaning its stalling out. I also noticed there are different size 3.0 chds files online and want to know which one is the proper one. any help would be appreciated.

Not the answer your looking for but why not download both and try them? I mean its quick to burn a CHD file to a HHD so.... waste like 20 min. I remember I had a hell of a time finding the right file for the sportstation I had BUT I do know it was a mame file I used that finally worked. That was almost 10 years ago now though so YMMV

I remember when I was trying out some of the compact flash cards for gauntlet dark legacy and mace some cf cards would work and some didn't work just gets hung up, took a few different brands of cf to get it right, this was a few years back, now I just buy them from arcade services

Ended up buying a sportstation 3.0 hdd cheap and now it works! going to dump this and convert it to my cf setup.
