So, after storing my NBA JAM TE for a while, I got it out to play, but I keep getting an error that says all of the RAM is bad (like 8 chips). I messed with it for a bit and it ran once, then back to the error. Any recommendations? I mean, I guess they could all be bad, but I find it unlikely. I could pull and reset all of the ROMs if that could help, but the RAM is not socketed.

Thanks for any advice.

look at the UE13 chip in the middle of the board. inspect the legs on it. if a whole row of them appears damaged or the legs lifted from the solder pads, that could cause your ram to all appear bad.

it's almost never the ram itself at fault in this case.

UE13 is the Williams Custom Chip, it's intended as a DMA controller to interface the rom code into ram faster. there are instances where all the roms can show up as red too.
