NBA JAM TE dips?

TE was just a ROM swap to a standard NBA Jam board....can't see why the dips would be different.
What are you trying to set ?
Can you check with MAME ?

i looked online at all the manuals and found the dips but they were wrong, Im trying to set freeplay if I can and maybe something else

My game is set on 2 players, on the manuals they show dip 1 being off in bank 2, however both my banks switch 1 is on and its on 2 player

I just set mine to freeplay a few months ago; can't quite remember how I did it. I remember that it wasn't as straightforward as it could have been.

I have a 4 player setup though, not 2.

You should have a test switch inside the cab somewhere. Flip the switch and it should bring you to all the settings within a system menu. Tons of options. You can even type a greeting within this menu that shows on the attract mode.

best way to do it on any Midway game from that era is to just go into Test mode, then go under Diagnostics, and then there's a Dip Switch Test. it'll have them all on screen and it'll tell you what option is activated under the current dip switch settings.

the only one I never figured out was the Video one, lol, but I think only the original NBA Jam had the video clips between halftime, right?

oh, and the other thing that irritates me to no end on ALL of Midway's games is the dip switch bank names never match up. you have to kinda match it up with which ones are on to figure that out. lol was really rough when I was trying to use Blitz 2000 in a standard res 8-way cab... had to guess to get the damn thing in standard res. no documentation anywhere online for the Seattle, just Vegas.

oh, and you're welcome. I'm glad it arrived in one piece. pretty creative packaging huh? ;)

alright well test switch doesnt work with this as well as nfl blitz, so idk, however I found the dipswitch for the test menu and was able to factory reset and put on freeplay! this game fucking rocks
