Doesn't need much. A good cleaning, some easy monitor work, and some minor CP repair. Check it out...

Looks awesome... Not much work needed.. Mines in bad shape. But Im gonna start my NBA Jam TE restore after I complete my TMNT.. Im in the process of scanning the NBA Jam TE side art and CPO.. Im gonna get it all printed up so I can completly do a full restore... I have that same idea as you. Along with my TE pcb, I wanna put NBA Jam, Hangtime, Maximus Hangtime, and 2-2 open ice in mine with a switcher.. I wanted to put Showtime but I heard that cant be done. But I cant wait to see your video on that NBA Jam switcher.... Looks great though...

Started work on the switcher install using the 6-way rotary switch instead of the remote. Here are some preliminary pics. Games will be...

1) NBA Jam TE
2) Hangtime
3) Maximum Hangtime
4) 2-on-2 Open Ice
5) Rampage World Tour
6) X-Men 4 Player

Still have to do the player 3-4 harness mods, mount everything permanently, and she's all done...

After you scan it please make the file available for all. :)

Ok. Change of plans. Only had enough cables (P3 and P4) for 5 boards (including having to rob the P4 harnesses from my MK2, MK3, and MK4. I decided to change up the games and order of said games....

Finally, I wouldn't wish having to wire up a P3 and P4 harness for FIVE different games on my worst enemy. It sucks big time. You have to install the blocking diodes on all the P3 harnesses, then the P4 harnesses, then hook then all together, then hook them to the harnesses that run up to the CP. It's not as easy as the MK harness mods at all. Those only have 6 wires per harness and only one per board. This project had 6-7 wires per harness and 2 harnesses per board.

IF you're lucky, it'll all be wired up correctly the first time. That wasn't the case for me. It gets REALLY confusing at times trying to keep track of which wire is on/coming from which harness and I almost gave up a few times. I literally game by blood and tears to this project (the tears were generated from yawning during the 15 or so hours it took to do the wiring portion, and the blood came from stabbing my finger with a screwdriver while swapping wires inside connectors).

There is not a free play option (that I could find or get to work via dip switches) for TMNT, The Simpsons, or X-Men, so I had to run the P3 and P4 "coin" inputs to the P3 and P4 Start buttons on the CP. Works out great. Since you have to press an action button for the game to start, I can press the P3 and P4 Start buttons all day to add "coins." I also piggybacked onto the P1 and P2 coin inputs at the coin door and ran wires to the respective start buttons. So now, all four players' start buttons coin up the respective player.

nice job, i don't remember how jedidentist did his, but i'm praying ToplessZ decides to make one of his mini boards for 3/4p games (removing the need to install diodes on each wire yourself).

atleast now it's done and you can play :D

Yeah, I must have cursed his name for not having them done at least a dozen times..lol.

I have about 3 3:1 splicers running to each button and switch...mine's a frickin' rat's nest of wires under the CP for the 3rd and 4th player controls.

Finally someone utilizing the entire cab. Nice set up there Zenomorp.

I hope all your dip settings are final....?
