I recently picked this board up from EBay as a non working board (kept rebooting). I fixed the board issue and it plays great but I can't get the sound to work. I am not familiar with this board at all. In fact when I bought it was the first I ever heard of it. Couple questions, is the ribbon cable the only cable from the main board to the sound board? It looks like from the manual there might be something else but I can't find any info.
Also, there are leds on both boards and neither board lights up. Does some have these boards and check to see if those lite up.

Thanks for any help.

On the older hardware there was a ribbon cable for data and a power cable as well, and an external volume pot - not sure how the newer hardware works to be honest

The LEDs on the older hardware indicated power and data, I assume it's the same here

If it's anything like Batman Forever (which uses the same sound board), all of the sound comes from the sound board and you are missing the sound output cables from it (stereo) and the power cables to actually power it. No sound comes from the main pcb what so ever.

The power input is J1 and the stereo output is from the other connector right above the amp heat sinks.

Look at page 22: https://www.arcade-museum.com/manuals-videogames/B/BatmanForever.man.pdf

All fixed. You have to connect the two spots on the sound board directly to the harness. One hooks directly to the speakers one to the power and ground. As stated earlier they do not attach to the main board except for the ribbon cable.

I'm trying to hook up a Batman Forever in this way, I've wired the sound board to the speakers and the power and ground, the LEDs come on and the game powers up and plays, but still no sound. Was there any trick to it?
