Has any one else noticed that NAVL shipping keeps getting more and more expensive (and not just a little bit). I thought it first it was the high oil price fuel surcharges and the economy but both are gone and so is the NAVL pricing I enjoyed 5+ years ago....

Yeah, even for short distance shipments everything seems to be in the $300 and up range. They're going to start losing out to the terminal to terminal shippers as people will be more willing to arrange a pickup from there and save $200.

Their min is 321.00

Ah, there you go. $321 is pretty high for a minimum. If it wasn't for people like Michelle I'm willing to bet that the collector community would have moved on to better options by now.

I used eagle freight once. When the game got there the pallet straps were gone and one side of the game was separated like it got hit hard. It was an atari cocktail table. They paid out to the buyer on a damage claim but it still sucked that they completely screwed up. They were way cheaper then navl however I am not sure if I would ever use them again.

LOL, and I have people wheel and deal me over asking $150 to pickup a machine out here and drag it down to California. Its always cool to hook someone up with a favor and I'm happy to do it for another collector, but looking around me I can see that I don't charge nearly enough for a 1000 mile trek especially after including my supplies cost I break even or lose money... LOL, might have to have another rate increase next year to stay competitive with the market! :D

I just had a new 27" monitor shipped to me FedEx freight and it arrived in *perfect* condition. It was on a pallet.

The monitor manufacturer said it was the only way to get it here safely.

I have learned that patience is the best method, all the one's i wanted eventually show up local at some point. Just my 2 cents.

Did NAVL once, and they completely screwed it up. Michelle is great until you call to complain why it's been a month to send something 75 miles and then suddenly she doesn't answer the phone or return calls. Use at your own risk.

Who would ship something 75 miles? That's an hour/hour and a half drive. Meet in the middle

ROFLMAO, NO, not one bit and I understood...
The hagglers did not get their machines picked up or brought down. :D

For me it was like "Seriously, you want me to drive 100 miles round trip on my end to pick it up, AND rent my trailer AND deliver it to your door for $100?!" So they didn't get the game they were looking at (2 guys)

I felt really bad for Jow, I left his game @ 8bitNintendo's (with Jows permission) he was gonna cost me another day and nearly 400 miles if I had to back track and round about way that I didn't have time for (already 2 days late at that point). He did get a 200 mile round trip pickup on my end however, which was the best deal for everyone for the price...

ROFLMAO, except for Damon of course, but thats because I was sleeping with him!

Ahem! Now might be a good time to change that comment... :)
