I remember when I first saw NARC, it was in a Zellers Store, i must have been 9 or 10 years old, and I was completely amazed by the high resolution (at the time) graphics, and extreme (at the time) violence. I watched two older guys playing the game, and I couldnt believe what I was saying. Exploding body parts, blood, people on fire, prostitutes, but with 'real' people in a video game!

It's kind of a shame that the game seems to be hard to find now. The original cabinet had a strange design and for some reasons used a midres monitor; which make it impossible to run on my cabs at home.

Ebay has a few units for sales in the states, but thats too far away. Even the pcbs seems to be hard to find.

I know that people kinda hate the game now, and the game has a bit badly aged, but it still has that late '80 feel that i like. I wish I could find one!

Tmnt

Ive always wanted one since the first Turtles movie. All the cool gang kids played it in their hideout.

Just picked up a Narc last week and couldn't be happier.

I did a little research after my pick up. After the video game crash of '84 Williams shut down their arcade unit. In 1988, Narc was their first game back on the scene programmed by Eugene Jarvis of Robotron fame. As you mentioned, it used the digitized characters and also was the first to use a 32 bit processor. Apparently Williams was going to go all out when getting back into the game.
