I'm still a little in the dark about JVS and Naomi connectors even though it looks like VGA to me. I have a Nanao MS-8 monitor that should be able to handle CGA and EGA resolutions.

Does anyone know if a NAOMI can output to medium resolutions or is that only Sega Model 1-2 boards instead. I though might be pretty awesome to run VF4 into a VF1 cab and not have to go all the way down to standard resolution via a Naomi I/O board.

I don't know on the one I have you just connect the jamma harness to the I/O board. The I/0 boards (4 Player Setup) I have are connected via vga to the mobo and output through the harness.

OK that makes sense now since medium and standard can go through the JAMMA harness.

I will third that there's no silly medium res. Medium resolution is a widely UNUSED res... mostly by Sega, and only their older stuff. Naomi is just too new for that crazy resolution.
