I have a Jamma wire cabinet and a Naomi system I would to install. Is there a way to make my Naomi work in a standard Jamma cabinet? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yup, you'll need a set up that looks pretty much like this:

What the doodad in the pic that displays the game name? A Pi or something similar?

Yes, it's a RaspPi with a "Pi Plate" lcd. The RaspPi holds the roms and you just scroll through the games.

It sends the roms to the Net Dimm board and then to the Naomi.

There are two types of Dimm boards, a regular Dimm board, and the Net Dimm board with the ethernet connection which is the one needed.

This system is a little pricey to get into, but the games list is kickass!

I see no Pi in either of the pics above... nor a display of any sort. I'm guessing a photo has changed/moved?

Anyway, you CAN setup a Pi to be the "server" for a netbooting Naomi. I use my cocktail/digital jukebox cabinet.... but yeah, a Pi setup works great too if you want to go that route.

FWIW, my NAOMI netboot setup using my cocktail can be seen in this video:

I have a netboot setup. One of these days I plan on building a cab for it or getting a universal cab. I played with it enough to get it where I could load the games wirelessly from my laptop. It's been sitting on a shelf ever since along with a bunch of Crazy Taxi and 18 Wheeler parts which is why I got it in the first place. :)

You can also modify the Capcom I/O with a larger 3.3v regulator so you don't need the larger power supply. The only issue I've had with the Capcom I/O was with analog controls(headache trying to wire up a driving rig, didn't work correctly).

They show up from time to time here and ebay.

Anywhere from $100 to $200.

:D
