ok i have a royale rumble by sega (in a conversion cab ) with a power problem
after looking at the schematics it looks like the game requires 3.3 ,5,and 12 volts

and from reading the kit manual it states that i should only use the included power supply

am i able to use a standard switching ps on this game

i guess i would just add a resitor to a wire going off of the 5 v line to bump it down to 3.3 v correct

Only if you want to fry it! It requires regulated 3.3v and you can't get that with a resistor.

Go buy one off of eBay or holler at the guys & gals over on the sega-naomi.com forums on how to re-wire an ATX style computer power supply to run it. It's MUCH cheaper than buying a Capcom I/O adapter for the NAOMI. Those are big bucks but allow you to use a standard cheap arcade switcher and a standard Capcom kick harness for wiring up the extra buttons.

i actually may have a spare naomi or naomi2 power supply... give me a little time to crawl up in the attic and check. It was from a converted king of route 66.

sorry man its long gone...

id go the atx route and see what all youd have to do to make it work... atxes are cheap man

cool thanks guys
this is for someone that contacted me about repairing their game that does not work
so im covering all my basis before i commit to attmpt the repair
someone sent me a pm and has offerd up a good naomi ps so om good there
just waiting to hear back from the guy to see if he figured out his problem or not

man its gotta suck to buy a game as working and then get it home and its broke lol
