If I have an existing Naomi GD-ROM system and just swap out the motherboards, is there anything that would cause it not to work correctly after the swap?

I changed a motherboard and I had what looked to be a resolution problem (but you could hear sounds and game trying to load) but the dipswitches on both motherboards have the same settings...

Do I need to change the EPROM inside the Naomi board as well or is there something I am missing that would cause this to happen

what eprom have you got in the mainboard, as if its an early Revision D or lower then GD ROM wont work, needs to be a later revision that allowed GD to work.

Boot just the NAOMI by itself... no DIMM board or GD-ROM... What do you get?

sorry I misread the post and thought was just a problem with the booting of a GDROM not the other issue, is it a static picture or rolling? can you post a picture of what it is doing?

Mick: It looks like a static picture with another Naomi board, but what you are saying about the EPROM might be true?
