Well I finally finished installing a cap kit in my Virtua Cop 2 Nanao MS8-26SU monitor. It took me a wile because I wanted to make up a monitor cap map to make it a little easer and faster to install the caps .I also had to order a cap that was not in the cap kit I got from Bob Roberts. Their were 2 problems with the cap kit and I don't know if it's a mistake or if their are different versions of this Nanao monitor but here's what I found different.
First according to the cap list C410 a 1uf @50v cap well I could not find one on my monitor board. I did find C401 which had a 1uf @50v cap on the board so I assume C410 was either changed to C401 or it was a typo by who ever put the original cap list together.
Second, According to the cap list C430 a 220uf @50v was not to be found on my monitor board. I did find a C430 but it was a regular disc cap,not an electrolytic cap. However right next to it was C437 a 120uf @50v cap that was not on the original cap list. That's why I had to order one from Mouser. I checked Bob's site and he didn't have any listed and I could not find one of that value in any of my other cap kits so it must be an oddball value in monitors. Here is the corrected list as it should be for my Nanao MS8-26SU monitor. Let me know if you find the same thing the next time you cap one.
Nanao MS8-26SU Cap List
1uf 50V C401/(C420 located on Vert board)/C501/(C532 located on Vert board)/C563/C579
1uf 100V C452
4.7uf 100V C537
10uf 25V C433
10uf 50V C574
10uf 100V C561
10uf 250V C332 (located on neck board)
22uf 160V C570/C909
33uf 16V C521
33uf 100V C431/C432
47uf 16V C522/C572
47uf 25V C908
47uf 50V C454
100uf 50V C451
100uf 200V C906
220uf 35V C912/C913
220uf 50V C910
470uf 16V C573/C576
470uf 50V C422
120uf 50V C437
Their was one more slight problem with the kit. C431 and C432 are 33uf @100V but the kit had 33uf @ 160V which is fine but are so much larger the don't fit on the board like they should because they are so close together and C451 100uf @ 50V is also close. I had to rock it sideways and bend the leads on the other two to make them fit. You can see it in the picture. Other than that everything else went with out issue. The kit fixed the major problems with the monitor which was a rolling picture till it warmed up and also thin scan lines running across the picture which would go away when it warmed up. The picture was also slightly dark but looks a little brighter now but if I turn the brightness pot up the picture will bleed or streak to the right. I don't see a contrast adjustment and didn't mess with the fly back adjustments. The picture looks good enough for me but if you look real close on the left side of the screen you can see very faint vertical columns or lines but you have to look close to see them. I posted a video of the attract mode and also posted my Cap Map I made that might help someone else recap one of these beasts.

I made the 3 cap map pages into PDF files but they were to large to post here so I posted them as Jpgs. If anyone needs them maybe I could email them.
