I recently purchased a Nanao MS8-26SU and would like to put it in a Jamma game I have. However, the Nanao monitor has 5 wires (White, Red, Blue, Green, and Blue/White) while my Jamma harness has 6 wires (Yellow, White, Red, Green, and Black). How should I hook this up?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Trace the yellow and white wires back and I bet they are either spliced together or from the same source. They are your sync wire, only one needs to be connected. The black is ground and ther red, green, and blue are red, green, and blue.

Sorry, another question. Red=Red, Green=Green, and Blue=Blue. I'm good with that. On the Nanao, what do I connect to the White and Blue/White from the Jamma harness?

After looking at the block diagram again you may need to connect the yellow and white to the white and blue/white (it shouldn't matter which) and connect a seperate ground to the cab ground.

A Nanao monitor only has 5 wires because it is a sync-sensing monitor:

Red
Green
Blue
Ground
Sync

A JAMMA harness has the same 5 wires. The two wires you see at your video connector for the monitor sync aren't direct from the harness, and have been spliced together somewhere.

Just trace the wires from the JAMMA harness to the monitor to determine which is ground and which is composite sync....

white wire on monitor= video ground

white/blue wire on monitor= video sync

for some reason the nano has the wire colors ass backwards of everybody else....

if t6he jamma harness is wired correctly the jamma white should go to the white/blue wire of the nanao
The black wire of the jamma harness should go to the white wire of the nanao

**you may have to tie the jamma white and yellow togther ***

either way at least you have an idea of how to hook it up now...
