Hey guys,

I've been tinkering lately with a Zaxxon Cocktail that I picked up a week or two ago. It currently has a dead monitor, a Nanao MC-2000S to be precise. I'm not super familiar with serious monitor repair, as this is only my 3rd machine. I'm comfortable pulling a monitor out and changing a few caps, but beyond that I leave it up to the pros.

This particular monitor gives me an ulcer just looking at it, due to it being a 100v monitor. I could send the chassis out to get repaired, but worry that the isolation transformer could be dead, and it would all be for naught. Seeing as how rough a state some of this cabinet was in after being garage bound for an indeterminate amount of time, I wouldn't be at all surprised if that were the case.

So my long winded question is, has anyone swapped out one of these monitor for a newer one? Should I be able to pop a 19" monitor in this cabinet, with the possible requirement of placing it in the old Nanao bracket to make it fit?

Thanks guys.
