I have a 27" in my TMNT. I have tried all pots but screen is lopsided. I cannot get this leveled out. Can anyone tell me the chassis and how to correct this? About 1 week out of heading to the basement and want to start working on this issue. Thanks in advance gents.

Now that I got the screen level I have discoloration in 2 corners! Where do I purchase those magnet strips and what are they called?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340948424.879697.jpg

BUY a DeGaussing Coil and Turn Off yer Monitor and Degauss it ...start in a slow circular motion slowly all the way around your monitors edge and slowly take small steps back till yer about 3 ft away then turn off yer coil... do this with your monitor OFF...if you do it while on you'll be doing it longer..

good luck :)

Do the $10 ones do the trick or is this a $50 coil investment?

glad you got it and it was a simple adjustment,
it looks good..

yea a good degaussing will fix you rite up.

Degausser didnt fix this. I am now attempting to swap yokes (in pic?) to my tmnt. How safe and effective is this type of swap? I want this 100%. Can I take this thing I'm pointing to off a known working tube and put it on my issue tube? And yes that's a solder burn on my thumb.

if you mean by taking the hole yoke. then yes it needs to go to the other tube.

usually the rings stay with their native tube.

yoke swapping is a tedious process sometimes.
there is no real easy way to do it.
you will need a board that puts out a grid and color pattern test screen.

if you cant tighten it down any tighter.
you can put some tape around the neck to give the clamp more bite on the neck.

sliding it back and forth will affect the colors on the edges of the screen.

and the rings closest to the tube also affect purity.

use a red color screen and your degausser to get it dialed in first till you get a even red screen.

then you may need a small round magnet on the back of the tube to eliminate the color blotches in the corners.

this is all part of getting it perfect. it takes time and patience.
