I came across this at a friend's place this week.He couldn't remember what it originally was and sadly, I couldn't really maneuver to get a better pic. I'm pretty terrible at cab ID's, but thought this one had a unique profile. It had a Midway door on it. Any ideas?

Game Plan.

Looks like it's been painted, but a yellow GP cab would be King & Balloon.

Many thanks! It really stumped me, but again, I am not very good at ID'ing.

Edit, just looked up the game, that seems pretty cool. I'm guessing parts would be impossible to track down though.

It's a GPI cab as mentioned earlier, a bunch of games came in those cabs depending on what colour it was originally.

To make it 100% original would take a lot of searching for parts and artwork, but to just get it playing king and balloon all you need is a working game board and you can rewire the existing wiring harness. Getting a game board shouldn't be too hard.

I had never heard of the game before. If the cab turns out to be solid sans any critters I may grab it and try. The game looks pretty darn fun.

Parts do show up because of how crappy the cabinets were built. Definitely worth picking up to restore for the right price.

King & Balloon appears on the standard 60-in-1 JAMMA bootleg multiboard. it'd be easier to buy one of those cheap and lock it to the game than to try to source a working original and rewire the cabinet, especially as it looks like the cab is already wired JAMMA.

Very nice.

King and balloon looks like it runs on galaxian hardware

Hmmmm, that is interesting. I think I am going to look into this a bit more. Even if I just snag one of those mutli boards to get a few games in.
