Okay got a Namco Classics Vol 2, game plays, video is okay, sound is okay, Ive tested the cabinet with other JAMMA boards, test board and all inputs test okay, but on the Namco board, it only recognises Start, and Up, Down, LEft, Right NO other buttons, so whilst you can play pacman, you cant play Dig Dug or Rally X, has anyone come across this before?
Ive checked the manual and it appears to be wired regular JAMMA

Anyone help? thanks

Check the JAMMA edge connections with your logic probe. They should be a logic high until you press a button. If not, the devices holding the lines high will be bad.

If they check OK then follow the traces to the small surface mount chips. If those check OK (high... goes low when button pushed...) then replace the chip. If not, check the surface mount filters between the 2.

yeah im no techy and that is beyond me, edge connector is fine, as entire cab works with other boards, test board, so has to be in the board itself, wanna project :p

I've fixed those problems before....

That board probably needs new caps too. They leak and eat things... and cause streaking in the video.

Download the repair request form off my web site, fill it out, drop it and the board in a box, and PM me for shipping info.

Unless you're talking about selling the board... if you are, PM me about that too.
