Namco Class of '81 now admissable for TG record submissions
Found this while searching the Twin Galaxy forums and thought it would be of interest here.. I have always wondered if a score on a Ms. Pacman/Pacman/Galaga machine (aka "class of 1981", 20th anniversary) would qualify for world record submissions, and TG now has a specific class for the all three games on this machine.

I find it interesting that the Reunion cabs have outsold the original number of Galaga cabs from the early 80's (per the thread), and TG makes a valid argument that the reunion games are plentiful in the public and gives those a chance to work for a record without having to have access to an original classic machine. I know a lot of people can't afford a classic cab (or have room for one/can't convince the wife, etc.) or just can't find an old machine still in public in their area, so I thought this was a good move on TG's part.
On a side note, they won't do the same for the DK/DKjr/SMB or Missile Command/centipede/millipede multi because they don't feel they have sufficient production numbers.
I know there is a lot of hate on these because of the 25" monitor and stock joystick, but I personally like them for what they are. I certainly don't consider them as good as having an original cab for each game, but I would consider one if the price was right since I don't have a lot of room and didn't play any of these to the extent that I would miss not having the original joystick/buttons and cabs...
