Namco Arcade sells games for cheap!! To good to be true?

Some one just gave me this url http://namcoarcade.com/gamesearch.asp

Looks like you can get allot of newer games for cheap!! Has anyone every went through them for games? Around me is like 5 Cruisin worlds for 395$ which is pretty damn cheap and area 51/maxium force dedicateds for 250-300$. Is this to good to be true? They even have tekken conversion working for 99$

Some of these games have been listed for over a year and most likely unavailable. I heard that only games that have an actual number listed, not the generic number, are legit.

...

Ive been buying games from them for years.
Its cool to deal with the local shops, but dealing with the main guy is a bitch and he's an a-hole :)

The main guy is difficult to deal with. He doesnt want to sell the games at all, but Namco does so be persistent with him if you want a game

btw, I tried to buy a Police Trainer 2 from them and it said upright, when I arrived it was a damn cockpit monstrosity that wouldnt fit through anyones door. Thing was like 5ft wide and 8ft long and 700lbs. Totally wasted 3 hours of my time in a round trip and countless emails to the grouch.

Yeah, that guy is an asshole. I talked with him a few times about some, and he gave me the same old story: Yeah, that one is out on location, and we'll have to rotate it into a local location so you can come look at it" then he acted like that would take 6 months. So then I asked him why in the hell he advertises them as available when they're not, he insisted they did, and blah blah blah I hung up on him.

NOW, if it's got a local number to call, it's easy as cake. You call, talk with the manager, and go by and pick the machine up.

You guys mean this #? (630) 238-2200 Ext. 2318

I don't think I've ever got through to a live person in the times I've called it... Granted, I haven't tried in a long time. The one time I bought directly from one of the local arcades it went smooth as silk. Got a helluva price too.

Yup thats the same number I tried calling. Just went to his voicemail, Im guessing hes really just a middle man since these games are all over the us

Buzz is okay if you are a bulk buyer or industry man.
Does not want to deal with collectors and I don't blame him.

He does not make commission, whereas store managers make
10% on sales, hence they are more than happy to help you.

I bought a Road Riot in a Spy Hunter sitdown. I was expecting the 2 player dedicated but was happy with what I got. Only paid 250. Guy was real nice. He told me his brother use to be so good at Robotron that he could go outside for a smoke then come back in and finish his game. He also said they all call "Final Lap" "Final Crap". Mine was in a mall movie theatre in Memphis.

How was their process? You gotta go on location to view? Will they come down any?

you can say that again. I wanted to buy 4 games a couple years ago, I called him 4 times to see if he set up the sale with the local guys.. He got crappy with me. ...he has no motivation to sell anything. I did buy one from a local guy and it did go well, but don't bother with the main dude. He's a bit of a wanker.

Basically, if the listing shows the phone number with the extension, forget about the damn game. If it is on location in a mall, which will have a direct phone number where you can call and ask to speak with a manager during 10-5 on weekdays, then you will be able to actually do business and purchase the game...
