Namco 3 in 1 nintendo donkey kong junior mario bros

Well this is interesting: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ARCADE-DEDI...443?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c2cde067b

My curiosity about the game is how do you get Mario Bros which is horizontal to work right and look good on a Vertical game like DK and DK Jr.

Must be a wide body machine too. Doubt the monitor is the small one which is in the original machines. (Just noticed the flyer says it is a 25" monitor)

Wondering how you switch from game to game.

Anyone seen this game before?

This is part of the Anniversary games released by Namco and is about the same year as the Galaga/MS. Pac combo machines. I think it does something funky to get all the games to work on the same screen....

I had one.. You select the game from a menu.. They are pretty cool, but that guy is on crack with his price...

Yeah, these came out in 2004 when Namco got rights to some of Nintendo's IP. They put it on a single board just like the Ms.Pac/Galaga/Pac reunions and the Centipede/MissileCommand/Bowling combos at the time.

It's real, the auction has the arcade flyer posted as well. They simply blackout the top and bottom of the screen when you're playing mario.

These are emulated games, not original boards with original hardware. While emulated; they are done well, not just a 60-in-1 junk quality board in there.

I think they are awesome and would love to own one , but the prices are always insane .

Would be cool to replicate the machine with using a real DK cab and 25 inch monitor, plus one of those 4 in one game switchers I just saw for DK, DK Jr, etc. :) (VectorLabs is selling it)

Not sure how you could get Mario Bros to work like that though.

They have these over at Disney at resorts and the magic kingdom at space mountain. I even saw one for employees to play down in one of the break rooms. They are a bit of their own design with beefier 5/8" melamine, plain white t-molding but the art set and look overall is great. The 25" monitor is a nice bonus. It also saves high scores.

3 in 1 in a DK cab

If you try the ArcadeSD you will see with minimal clipping Mario Bros looks fine and plays fine on a vertical monitor. If you use an Arcade SD and retro an LCD that is larger you can do a great 3 in 1 or better 4 in one adding DKII that will save high scores plus more games if you want. I put one in my DK cab.

I have one of these with two of those boards. I sold one and took the other out of machine and replaced with an arcadesd so i could have dk3 and dk2 to go with the other 3. Plays great.

I just played one at the pop century resort at Disney world. They had it by itself and had it on free play. Only played dk...which was on the horizontal monitor. Game was stretcher and looked weird. Personally I didn't like it....but the cab artwork was cool.
