Picked this guy up, went to get it site unseen, kind of hoping it was not a woodgrain cab, but its actually in pretty good shape. Owner thought it needed a cap kit due to garbled graphics on screen, but its a board problem. Gonna drill the lock out and see if I can't get it running today

Wow, that's in really nice shape. The side art looks almost new.

Thanks Phet. Yeah, its been garaged for at least the last fifteen years, don't have any history prior to that. The side art has very minimal scuffs, cpo could use replacing (its in great shape, but still..) And the buttons are pretty dirty. I was pondering what it would look like with a color other than black for t molding. Any thoughts? Seems like a blue or green would "pop" more...

I luv the Centuri games. I just found an original Loco-motion cab to add to my collection. Phx was the second Centuri I got, right after Gyruss. I really like the combo of Phoenix & Pleiades. Some T-molding that matches the color in the letters of "Phoenix" in the marq and side art should be nice.

Here's a better pic of my Phoenix. I have a repro CPO that I need to put on it, but the side art is in pretty good shape. I have a repro marquee in it now.

Alright, reseated roms got the board to fire up, but alas, the monitor is indeed having problems. It is a G07907, but I can only find cap kits for G07CBO....anyone care to guide me in the correct direction?

The Phoenix I used to have also had a black front. I never thought much about it. Unfortunately, it had been converted to Final Fight but I was able to reconvert it using parts from a weather damaged game. It worked great and I loved playing it. However, the lack of side art really bothered me and led me to sell the game. Wouldn't you know it? A few months later, side art repros became available. UGH!

Great condition on yours. It really does look like a new game.
