Hi everyone...

I think I have found a dedicated Mystic Marathon cabinet that was painted over and then abused. I expected to find a serial number but don't see one anywhere, I can see the original stencil pattern in specific areas in the correct glare, but it is pretty vague. I have a PCB and marquee but want to restore this beasty to as close as original as possible. Anyway, I mainly looking for a high res photo of the stenciled sideart (not the sticker) so I can see if Brian can create a repro stencil for me.

I know there is 1 known dedicated out there, but I don't know who owns it at this point. Can someone point me in the right direction or better yet PM me if you own the dedicated one.

You can also reach me through the Internet Pinball Serial Number Database.

thanks ... Jess

PS - also need a CPO and bezel if anyone has spares.

you should PM yellowdog and see if he knows anything about this...

YellowDog is the man for Mystic Marathon. I have met him multiple times. Great guy. He actually worked on Mystic Marathon. He is also the guy that owns the dedicated one, and a conversion.

Hey Guys,

THis is odd that this topic just showed up. I was speaking to Brendon AKA: BZ,DDS,DR this morning. He has a "Complete NOS set" & X2 NOS side arts & the original Films except for the Bezel.

He mention to me he was planning on scanning them soon.

Real Nice guy.

WE'll see

Please tell him to PM YellowDog with what he has.

I added a correction.

He has the Original Films to the marquee & CPO, but not to the Bezel.

I imagine if one of the repro guys was to do a small run, some of us might want a piece just for the hell of it. I don't think that would diminish the importance or value of an 'original' piece.

I hope the OP did find the painted over one and that it's the one that yellowdog has mentioned being "painted over and lost in a warehouse somewhere".

I've been searching for this game for a good amount of time now and have come close but not yet have i been able to even piece one together

btw are you the one that bought the PCB/marquee/copied manual off ebay?

Yes, I just saw it pop up the other day for auction and bought it. I ironically had a PCB set way back in 1995 and sold it on Ebay right when they added the coin-op section, I always regretted it.

Cool! Always great to see a rare game being brought back to life. Best of luck in your adventure. I hope to play one someday.

There was one in my town and it ended up getting trashed by the Op. He gave me what was left (PCB and bezel) but someone decided to paint strip the plexi glass bezel to recycle it so it was trashed, marquee was no where to be seen, and control panel probably was tossed. I have kept the PCB for years and watched the Blaster and other films go for auction never to be made available to anyone.
