Hi;
I am getting my mystic marathon project together and was wondering if anyone could confirm that the blue used on the sides of moon patrol is the same blue that was used on the sides of mystic marathon.
I would think that since they had all that blue lying around, they'd just use it up...
Thanks
Jeff

I did a lot of searching before taking this on and in every picture I've seen, the front of the cab is black, like most of the Williams games and the sides are blue with the side art stenciled on top of that. I don't have the side art but want to have the correct base coat in the remote chance I get a set of stencils.........
Besides, as packed as my games room is right now, you cannot see the sides anyway. So as long as you see a little blue on sides of the game, you'll never notice that the art is missing...

here are pics of the dedicated mystic marathon I had(serial number 3). It had black front and glass monitor bezel.

here is a pic of the kit art on another cab I had. By the way I have a extra set of the kit art.

Thanks for the pics.
It appears that it is the same blue as MP at the top and bottom of your cab but seems to be lighter toward the center of the cab, unlike MP which is solid blue from top to bottom.
Would you agree?
Thanks for the offer on the kit art but I'm going to hold out in the hopes of getting a stencil set.

I think thats the result of a flash and a scaned pic from a print. Pretty sure the color blue was consistent top to bottom.

Moon patrol blue I would say is about right. I would go with what matches the CP overlay if you have access to one.

I picked up the game out a newspaper ad like 15-20 years ago. Not sure how the family got it in their home.. I am pretty sure it was untouched by them, so I would say you could count on buttons being correct.

The only thing I did to it was reflow the connectors on the power supply and replaced the batteries. It worked great after that..

I would agree hold out for a stencil kit. Grab a robotron cabinet and your in business..

Got one that was onverted into a Rastan so I'm good to go.
I need a scan of the bezel and I'll then have everything I need to complete the cab.
One day at a time......
Thanks again for your help.

It's black on the flyer, but it's probably due to the fact that they're referencing the conversion kit:
