Mystery Arcade Game... No Name

Prepare to be disappointed. You may not be....I don't think I've played it. But I can't believe how many times I get psyched to play an old game I haven't seen in years and it turns out to suck now.

Hopefully this won't be one of those moments!

Had that happen to me when I got Hard Drivin' home a while back. After 15 minutes all I could muster was "really...."

Pretty sure he was referring to the original Tron which preceeded this game by about 7 years.

Yeah I know, but with all the new Tron rage right now, many people didn't even know there was an original. I still have not seen the new one.

Oh yeah. That is how it is for many games. I played the ROM for this and it was fun, but NOTHING like what it was like back in 89.

thats exactly what happened with Superman by taito. It was fabulous as a kid..now.. its just plain boring.

I own X-Men now and although it holds a lot of nostalgic value to me in that I remember it being really awesome, it's a crappy game now. I'm only keeping the game for the sweet art and so I can swap out other (better) 4P games in it. So far, I only have TMNT and Wrestlefest, but I hope to get Sunset Riders, Turtles in Time, etc.

Good Lord, Superman is TERRIBLE. Oh man, what were they thinking? Though, it's a known fact that there's never been a good Superman game across the board. Nothing is worse than Superman 64.

Bite your tongue! Hard Drivin' rocks... to this day... but of course Race Drivin' is better.

No doubt! I think once I do get a Race Drivin', I'll be more impressed that I have those two sitting next to each other and just stand there...admiring them.

Maybe I'm just a weirdo, but I think I spend more time just looking at my games in attract mode with the lights off and saying to myself "HELLLLL YEAHHH!"
