mysterious two cuts on donkey kong pcb board..

hey guys while cleaning a donkey kong pcb 2 board version i noticed to cuts on the board..i dont know why or whats the purpose, i have taken a picture of it and hopefully the knowledgeable ppl at klov forums can solve this mystery. thanks guys!!

an observaqtion not related to your question but you should put stickers over the eprom windows - you may get corrupted eproms otherwise if you get sunlight/uv shining on the eproms

For some reason, Nintendo was bad about doing that ;) My DK doesn't also have the stickers on the windows. I guess inside a cab, it's dark anyway, so it probably doesn't matter much.
 
Looks like soeone deliberately cut those two traces. Not familiar enough w/ the schematic to know what they go to/what purpose they serve tho.
 
yea most definitely, maybe a repair guy deliberately doing it? so that he will get more business?
 
FYI, alot of boards came through with revisions like that from the factory. Some I can think of are Taito boards and qbert. Im not at all familiar with DK 2 boards so I cant say if that is original or not.
If the board is working dont mess with it.
