im pissed. lost 1400 points and my profile. currently recovering it and trying to get through xbox support on the phone but i doubt there gonna do anything. fucking gonna kill someone.
 
got my gamertag back, there saying there going to lock the account to investigate could take 25 days. im pissed.

also shows fifa 2012 played today.. i dont own it
 
this is stupid, im out for 25 days minimum. battlefield is coming out in 23. plus forza. they are sending me a 1 month free xbox trial so i can make a new gamertag in the meantime. why the fuck would i want that?!?!?! not gonna play something and then start over in a month

Is there any way they can merge the accounts after the original one gets sorted out? At least you won't be wasting your time for a month.
 
highly doubt it, i dont care, I guess i can start playing single player with these games and then get online with em when the times up. I can still sign in to my account just not into live. still sucks, oh well. I changed everything in my account now so this should not happen again. I guess thats what happens when you have the same info since the first xbox...

I also find it funny i have achievements for fifa. i mean really how long was this person gonna use my account??? i was looking on my friends list (xbox.com) and was hoping he would have added friends LMAO
 
wow. not happy. called xbox today to see what the hell is going on because its been 25ish days and to maybe get an update. the guy said well its 25-30 business days so you on about day 18.. this is such bullshit. If I would have known this i would have ate the 20$ in points i lost.

this pretty much ruined battlefield for me completely. I wont be playing online after skyrim comes out so what a waste that was
 
Sucks - hopefully you didnt buy BF3 so you can at least say they saved you 60 clams.

I would complain about loss of service though. They should comp you for that.
 
I bought BF3 thinking my account would be up in a few days since today is the 25th. the guy originally never said shit about business days..
 
I would call and tell them to fuck off with my points I just want my fucking account back or I will start blogging allover the place about how terrible they are and that I will be switching to a PS3.

I posted something similar a few weeks back. Of course, my son just gave up the account info to someone online who was going to "mod" his character on a game.

I haven't heard shit since. No emails, no nothing. I was also told the "25 business days" so I haven't called to find out what is up.

My personal opinion is...I think it's a crock of shit that it takes that long to "get" a gamer tag back.

Any asshole with a mouse and computer that is given the "special" powers over our accounts could fix these issues in an instant. I know how these things work. I was once given these powers from my employer but....they wanted people to learn a lesson. I believe that is what is going on with your account and mine.

While I was on the phone with "tech support", they told me several times that what my kid did could get the unit banned. I told them several times that I could give a shit less if they banned it or not. I don't play it. My kid does. If they ban it, I won't go rushing out to buy a new one.

Happened to me in August. Just got it back Saturday. They ended up giving me 4 mo free and 850 points. Gave them a shit review on their quality assurance survey. Good luck, though.

I called them yesterday to get a free download that expires today since I can't download it. The lady told me sorry we don't have a code for it so we can't.. I lost phone service and it dropped the call. She's fucking lucky. I'm gonna fflip on them the day it hits 25 business days
 
Got 3 emails today from MS. They had to associate my sons gamer tag with a different email address and that can't be changed for 30 days. The 2nd email was to create a password for the "live ID" they gave us. The 3rd was the points transfer back to our account.

We just recovered my sons gamer tag and all is well.
 
Wow I guess it's just a matter of who they decide to fix first huh? All I am waiting on is points? I recovered my own gamertag and changed my own emails and live password.. This is a joke
