My Williams Flash Tear Down

I am definitley upgrading the burnt up area to handle more heat...but before I do upgrades, I want the machine to work so I know I didn't mess something up while uphrading. Since I have to replace the AA batteries, I was thinking about doing a lithium battery...I think it looks cleaner.
My next step, tonight, I'm going to give the board a vinegar bath to get rid of the battery alkaline. Any tips in this? Half vinegar half water? Then tooth brush, then dry?

External battery mount might not be a bad idea. I do that on all my pins. Lookin good though!

Last I heard, this machine was running pretty well. Board problem ended up being IC's 15, 19 and 25 all were no good. Took a while to track those down.

Sorry didn't respond sooner, I have been busy. The machine is running perfectly, as HHAASE had said. And he would know as he fixed the board. It was definitely over my head. But once he got the board going everything else started falling into place. Sorry I couldn't give you more specific info.
