So tonight, I'm moving my Pole Position (PP2) cab. My wife is assisting. The surface has a slight angle, and I have to go a short distance with the game basically leaning a little to the left before I can turn and go straight up and into where I'm putting it.

Well, the game started tipping off the dolly. I tried to grab it with one hand while holding the dolly with the other hand, but it was going over - and my 5'
1" wife put herself between it and the pavement and kept it from going down hard until I could get ahold of it and stand it back up.

Those of you who have had one of these PP cabinets know how big and heavy they are. It easily outweighs my wife. She ended up with a skinned knee (through jeans), and it will most likely hurt her tomorrow in class (she's a teacher), but I told her everyone here would be proud that she didn't hesitate to save the game at the expense of her body.

And since "pics or it didn't happen", here is her "badge of honor":

Awesome. Today, I got 2 new cabs and my wife assisted, VOLUNTARILY, in squeezing them in the garage. Not nearly as heroic as your tale, but a big step for her.

way to go!!

Now thats what i call a WOMAN!! I'm sure she's pretty tough and that scrape is not going to phase her.

like i always say (i ride a motorcycle) skin grow's back for FREE! but tell her way to go were all very proud of her!

I don't understand these two sentences. Wives can actually help move games? This is very confusing to me. ;)

I think you owe her! LOL!!!

You best repay her for taking it in the knee.

My wife likes diamonds...

Wow that's fantastic! I think she deserves one or two video games of her own. Tell her she can put them anywhere in the house she wants. :D

There are few things more precious than a couple sharing their first arcade game injury together. Cherish the moment. When you are retired and sitting by the fireplace, you'll share the story of her first arcade injury with the grandkids ;)

I think you owe her a dozen red roses and a nice dinner at the least :)
