My Trimline Conversion Project

I love how this looks. One thing that I noticed, and very minor detail...but whenever I cut a cardboard bezel for a game, I hate the bright white edge that is left on the seam. Have you ever thought about running a black sharpie along that edge to hide the white? Not a huge biggie though.

That bezel is adhesive backed vinyl and already stuck to tinted plexi. A piece of clear plexi will go over that.

Maybe I missed it stated in another post... are you doing side art for this game? It looks amazing, by the way!

See previous post (from yesterday):

I still don't have a good CPO file, so if anyone has a NOS or repro CPO for an upright they could scan in at 800dpi for me to resize, that would be sweet. I decided that I am just gonna order the standard side art and make it work with this cab rather than trying to redo it to exactly fit the profile.

Pics of an upright for visual and color comparison (note the one I owned in the last 3 pics had a black kickplate):

Newly vinyled backdoor with freshly pained vent screens well hung:

Installed the light fixture and all wiring. Marquee lit up:

GNG all geared up and ready to play:

And the pathetic converted CP/CPO I'm still stuck with as I can't find a scan or vector file for the GNG CPO:

For now, I am gonna build a new CP and wrap it in the same purple vinyl I used on the sides. Should someone ever help me out with the CPO, I'll put that over the purple vinyl. Other minor details:

-Installed new 3-pronged grounded plug
-polished the old cord with steel wool and then armor all to revitalize and clean up the vinyl insulated cover. I reused it as it had no nicks, cuts or tears anywhere along it's 9 foot length. Just some scuffs and paint/bondo that was stuck to it in various places.

Love a conversion that's done well. Excellent.

I'll need to refer to this thread if I ever get around to finishing the conversion of my Trimline Jungle King / Hunt to Elevator Action (it was started by someone in the 80s; needs a custom-made EA CP and some other things).

And this is a good example of what a difference a ground plug can make. You can see the diagonal hum bars in the Karnov screen before I replaced the 2 prong plug with a 3 prong:

It's the little things man.

And a comparison shot of the 'original' hacked n cracked (but screened) Karnov marquee vs. the new ink jet GNG marquee from GOG:
