Hey guys,

I been meaning to do this for a while so here we go.

I picked up this cab for $350 and it was a TMNT cab converted into a Sunset Riders Cab.

What I have done so far:

1. Bondo repair on the control panel and paint.
2. Repainted the entire front of the cab and doors.
3. All new coin Reject Buttons, coin entry bezels, and coin return bezels.
4. All new Locks keyed the same.
5. NOS marquee
6. NOS Control panel Overlay
7. New Sanwa JLW joysticks and sanwa OBSF-30 buttons
8. Re-capped the wells Gardner k7000 Monitor chassis
9. Peeled away one side of the Sunset Riders Side art to revel the TMNT side art still in great shape underneath. Unfortunately it's only on one side.

I still need a couple more joysticks and buttons, and Side art on one side. been putting it off for a while but gonna start finishing it up now and will post final pics later.

the following are before and after pics, along with some pictures of different stages of progress

Looks great!

If I had a choice, I would love to own a dedicated 4P TMNT. The only downside is it only has 2 buttons per player which means it's very limited in the number of games you can swap out. Though, I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up at the right price. $350 in that condition is a little much, but if you have the money and it makes you happy then I'm all for it. :)

$350 didn't seem like much for a working Sunset Riders cab, it was a little rough but purely cosmetic. Structuraly the Cab was solid and absolutely mint on the inside. No water damage, weak/broken wood or anything like that.

2 buttons is a killer, but these cabs are definately not meant for board swapping. I have 3 konami boards in it placed in a way that I can switch between them by reaching down from the control panel. Otherwise you gotta pull this beast out from off the wall to switch out boards from the back door. My goal is to have TMNT, Turtles in Time, Simpsons, and Sunset Riders mounted inside. that's enough 2 button konami glorious beat em up action for me lol

Looking good!

Are you planning on sticking with the green buttons for donatello and raphael? (ie: not color matching purple and red?)

What kind of black paint job did you do there? It looks very nice.

No I actually just ordered the buttons and joysticks for Donatello and Raphael this weekend. I just put the green ones in there cause I had them and thought it was better then empty holes for now LOL

The paint I used was a Duplicolor automotive paint that was a Black Textured type of paint. it really did turn out nice.
