So I bought an act labs gun for my mame off eBay. Going by the description on the listing it clearly says VGA in the title and also above the pictures of the item. Well I get it today and it's s-video. I go back and look at the auction and the seller added a note after the auction began at the very bottom to say its s video. Am I right to file a complaint? I just feel like its very misleading to describe it as one thing and then add a small description at the bottom that pretty much makes this a completely different gun. Any thoughts?

That sucks. I had the same thing happen with the lid to the center console of my wife's car. I bought the replacement, when I got it the clips were snapped. I read the description again and saw it said it was broken at the bottom. I took the loss because I was too stupid to read.

In your case, if the subject title says VGA I think you have a case

Yeah I'm kind of torn. I know it's only $25 bucks but still I feel like I was misled and now I'm stuck with a gun that i can't use. Anyone want to buy it for $25 shipped? Hahaha. I sent the seller a MSG lets see what happens.

If the addendum was posted before you bid, it will be tougher to resolve, but if it was added after, then you won, hands down.

Even if it was added before your bid, eBay/PayPal side with the buyer regardless most every time, so you likely can win a dispute.

I doubt you like my answer, but i say your out of luck. Here is my reason. Looking at the dates on the revision and on the bidding, you clearly bid several days after it was revised. This is how revisions are done according to ebay. The fact that you stopped reading before the auction writing was done, that is not the sellers fault at all, It is solely your fault and you should just accept your error, not force something on the seller. I sell tons of stuff on ebay, and I actually get so tired of buyers not reading auction terms. I can not tell you how many times that i have to explain things to buyers that was clearly stated in the auction.

I know its kind of a mixed problem because on one hand the description clearly states exactly what I needed so therefore I bought it from that description. Either way I've got a deal pending to sell it to someone who can use it so we all win haha.
