Does this seem like an original Tetris pcb? The reason I ask is that I am reading the manual and looking for the diagnostic testing and such.

It says to flick a switch on the pcb located at 50J. Well, I see no such markings. I see pcb locations such as IC48.

If this isn't an original pcb, where would I find the way to change the settings and such?

You may be hard pressed to find swith settings because it's a bootleg pcb. I would just try changing them one at a time to see what they do.

Okay - so is the consensus that it might be the red thing? Or would the dips be more likely to give the best results?

Does anyone who has a Tetris bootleg like this know for certain?

maybe its the pic, but it looks like IC2 has burnt a hole in the chip..

Nice solder bridge on the sound amp. Hope its supposed to be like that..

Tetris adjustments are menu based, so slide the tiny switch to put it into test or possibly use the test button on the cabinet.

The dips might flip the screen..

Well, the red switch does nothing!

And yes, now that you mention it the IC2 does look like there's a hole in it - but the game works fine despite that...

As far as the sound amp goes, I don't know if it's supposed to be like that or not! I bought the cabinet, monitor and board from a guy for $200 even. It all works, and I now have a stand-up Tetris to play. Only problem is I discover that it's a bootleg board. Not that the seller tried to tell me that it was - and I didn't have the know-how to even check at the time. I'm certainly not unhappy with the purchase.

Still, there must be a way to get to the menu somehow, but I can't figure it out! It's just simple stuff like music in the attract mode and free play mode that I'd like to set up. You'd think that even a bootleg Tetris board would have a link to this menu, no?

Yeah the switch didnt work on my first board, and was stuck in test mode. I got another one and it works fine. Nice thing about those is that the tetris boards are pretty cheap at $40 if you watch on here. Otherwise my only guess was that switch. Maybe try flipping the dips to off and try the switch then?
