My Taito Trimline Come Home

There was a place in Pennsylvania that had one in better shape that was $250, but it was a ten hour drive.

I am pretty happy with this one. I just need to fix the audio issue and order up some T molding. I just found out (thanks nerdtendo) that they make repro CPO's, but I am leery to go that route. I am a little OCD when it comes to my Space Invaders

They make a repro control panel & mini marquee for my Crazy Climber, but...I'm totally OCD like you when it comes to this. That + cabinet work would make this thing look amazing. But I rather like the wear on it now, and the parts on it are original.

One thing I will do for sure: get repro instruction sheets for the bezel.

I had a taito SI trimline and it didn't look at all like that one. Is that the euro version? Even the manual looks funky, at least the cover.

That's the official Taito Trimline that was sold here in the States. Coincidentally, I picked up my own SI Trimline over the weekend as well :D

What's with the trimline love fest? I had 3 of them and could barely give one away.
I have seen several for sale on this group (recently) with no takers too.
This place can be baffling.

Location dictates everything I buy and sell. I have a severe phobia of shipping games. Plus, it just seems like certain games have trends. I lucked into my Trimline. Two weeks ago, I knew practically nothing about them, but I liked the look and wanted to restore it to its former glory.

Well that's cool. I like them too. I have 2 SI and one Qix in that cabinet style. Just thought the thread was interesting given I have seen several parted out the past 6 months. I am limited by distance of a game too so I totally understand.

I think the ones that have been posted have been games folks have bought for spare parts. Some of them were working others not. I know of two KLOV'ers who were parting out their part machines.

I love Si so when I saw this I had to get it. Plus I have an apt and this seemed like a good option for my home. The rest of my games are in my office. I would kill for a Crazy Climber or a Qix in a trimline.

Here are some pics of one of my 2 Taito SI cabinets... the worst of the 2

I agree... they are cool little cabinets.
I have been thinking about making one of the SI cabs into a Multi-Taito. I'd have to change the monitor (to color) and it's orientation (to horizontal)... bezel, power supply, wiring and PCB... maybe the CP and the marquee too. I bet I could find a good home for all that stuff right here on KLOV though.

Nice cabinets. I tinkered with the idea of making the SI a multi, but decided against it. If you ever want to part with your CP and bezel et me know. Mine are SHOT.

Well, I have the Taito Multi PCB (bought from Nix like a year and a half ago) so it would still be "Taito" just more space conservative (I too live in an apartment!). When (not "if") I convert it later this summer, I will hit you up first for the parts and see if you are still looking.

Sounds wonderful. I don't think there will be too many parts on the market for this. If you ever want to sell another trimline let me know. I can't imagine the shipping being too much.

I have some time and a little spare cash laying around this weekend, so I am back to work on my petite little friend.

Thanks to Nerdtendo, the pint sized beast now has a coin door and a 'new' CP in the mail. He also hooked me up with a great T molding source. Phew! I'll post more photos when I get the goods installed next week.

That picture is classic.

BTW, there is an SI trimline bezel on ebay is anyone needs one (not mine and know nothing about it).

I have a Taito multi PCB and would like to find a Taito trimline cabinet to put it in (I'm in the Kansas City metro area).

You know that saying one in the hand is worth two in the bush?

I guess it could be modified to one working is worth two not working. I have these staring at me every day reminding me that I need to find a way to fix both their power boards. One gives 3v when it should give 12v and the other keeps blowing it's +5v fuse.

I'm going to be selling my Taito Trimline SI in the next week or so. Works great but has a background hum (other sounds work fine). I've already replaced the power supply with a known good one, so don't know if I'll sell it as is or troubleshoot it more.

If I sell it with the hum - $200. If I sell it fixed - $300 (and more time than a week)...
