Hot seat? Holy f***.

Are you going to put Star Wars in it? I am not sure what Rlevin finally got for his, if he ever sold it.

It already has Star Wars in it and a Tempest monitor. It's going to get a full restoration.

Awesome! Thank you. Did you do all the cosmetic work also? Or just the internals? I wanted to re-weld some parts of the frame that are weak or broken and powder coat all the metal. The internals will of course be completely gone through also. It'll be good as new by the end of the year.

We did a ground up restore inside and out it took 6 months

Good stuff, especially the hot seat and it even has the Star Wars stuff. How did you come across that one?

There was an Ad on CL that said "Old shed with arcade games from the 80s". I called the guy and when I got to the lot where he had the shed (in the bad part of town). I was shocked. It had about 30 cabinets in it. This find was what got me hooked on arcade games.

I had been wanting an arcade game just because I thought it would be cool to have in my house. I wish I had known then what I know now.

So this guy had these games at places like Chucky Cheese back in the 80s. He had some really rare stuff in there that I didn't know was rare at the time.

Here's part of the list of what he had.

Joust side by side cocktail... When I went back to get it he had already sold it =(
2 Centipedes
Spy Hunter
Tron
Pacman
Ms Pacaman
Galaga UP
Galga Mini
Bride of Pinbot pinball
Super Mario Bros
Excite a Bike
Rampage
ETC...

If I had known anything about rare and desirable arcade games I would have some really awesome games right now.

I picked up the PlayChoice10, Ms Pacman, Galaga UP, Hot Seat, and ThunderJaws because I thought they were cool.

Maybe you didn't want a story that in depth...

No, we love stories about the finds, especially something like that. You got a good one. So remember two things, we like stories about game finds and pictures, lots of pictures. :)

Don't feel too bad about the Joust cocktail, they are supposedly rare, but they turn up all the time. I don't think many of them ever got junked since they were one of the few cocktails that were friendly to later conversion kits.

Hot Seat was by far the best score in my opinion.

Rlevin had his priced at $100,000 on Ebay. No takers obviously.

Not sure what the game is really worth but I am sure it's at least as valuable as the cockpit, if not more so.

I was pumped to get Hot Seat! It was one of the last games he had left. I picked up the games over several weekends. I think it's a hard sell because not many people know about it.

Plenty of people will offer lots of money for that game. I'd be surprised if you hadn't been approached already...That game is incredibly rare. Put it on Ebay with a BIN of $8,000 and see if anyone goes for it. I'm serious...
