I know, this is dumb, but as it might have been a great moment for me in terms of my son's opinion of me I had to post this somewhere. I was wearing the shirt in the pic below and my son said "Daddy, you look like your shirt. Are you Tron?"

Notwithstanding the two serious ID mishaps there, which I will dismiss, I managed to say "No, son. I just look like him."

Still, made me tear up just a bit.

I thought this story was going to involve the boy walking in on mommy and daddy's "happy cosplay fun time".

I think the proper answer would have been "shhhh, don't tell your mother, the balance of the universe depends on it."

I knew someone was going to say that about Sam Eliot...he's a lot taller!

R2084 - Dude, great profile avatar - Brisco County Jr. - gotta re-watch that series again...

Was thinking of going as The Dude this coming Halloween complete with the bathrobe and all but am balking at having drunkards thrust Kahlua at me all night. Sam Eliot might work better - lose the beard part of the goatee and go as Ghost Rider #1 or the Cowboy. With a sarsaparilla in hand.

And for everyone who thought of Roadhouse, here's what I think of on that because it's what jumps in my head each time....

Roadhouse

But - he's 7 - he looked up at me and his eyes got wide and he - literally - said "Daddy - are you Tron?" Damn that was so cool. I could not joke or anything; I said no, but wasn't that cool movie.

Naw, they still sell those at the dollar store. Finding some that don't dig a blister into your foot - there's a challenge.
