Finnaly got done today putting the last thing i had to do to it and thats installing the new mat for the footstep. I wish i woulda took pics of it when i got it but i didnt. It was real dirty (coulndt see inside the bezel at all!). Didnt work. All it did was hum when you turned it on. No lights were working all lights and starters had to be replaced. Start button LED wss out had to get a new one of those. Replaced the joystick fire button bezel and the cap for the left handle as well. Speakers in periscope, both were blown, had to put 2 used 4.5 speakers in it. Had to get another GO5 to put into it (i plan to fix the other, i know the problem i just have to get around and fixing it).

Both PCBs had alot of problems. i sent them to andre at AMC soultions, he said alot of the roms were bad, he replaced them and there was still problems. Anyways got a good working set from road.runner (thanks mike!!!) Also installed a rebuilt AUDIO II regulator board. Totally cleand the power brick and inside.

coin door had alot of stuff missing. Coin acceptors, return coin slot covers. 25 cents papers. NOS atari logo sticker. Had repanit it and put new lock.

Very Very nice one of my favorite arcades, I have a few things left to do. Where did you get the white Atari sticker on the door.

Very nice!

Just curious where you got your mat for the footstep?

A general BZ question here. Is the mat supposed to be on the front and then on the top of the step? Or does it start on the top of the step and roll up the front of the machine? Mine has a section that ripped, and I have the section, but I can't tell if it goes on the front part of the step, or if it's supposed to be glued vertically on the front of the actual machine (can't imagine why it would go there but I thought I'd ask the experts).

the atari skicker was on the sheet of stickers that comes with the battlezone. I got the WHOLE envolope package when i went to anthonys wharehouse raid. I found it a the bottom of a empty battlezone.. I am saving the black one with atari in white for when i get the coin door powder coated.

the original mat is 23 5/8 X 24 1/2 it starts at the edge by the cab, and covers to the front edge. It doest wrap the front edge, just stops there!!

You can buy a very very similar mat from home depot. I got some and it was very close to the original and very cheap.

thanks for the cool comments guys... I am happy with it.. I wish i woulda took before shots.. dammit!!.. .

It is a cool game, reminds me of the part in TRON when clu is driving the tank.. if there were reconizers in this game it would be cool!!!!

Nice restoration. I have no more space in my house for arcade games so I have to do Battlezone by MAME and a Logitech Gamepad.
