My restoration of a "Ball Walk" (1960s) game (Cointroinics)

@mcdefjef clued me in that there was an NOS manual on eBay and I bought it.

It's for "model 100" and does not reference any other models.

It describes my unit...with power...light, chimes, buzzer, mercury switch. There is even a very short schematic diagram of the entire game which fits on one page.

I conclude from this that the original machines were probably model 100 and electrified and later machines were simplified. I have seen the same type of thing with ABT games becoming simpler over time.

Here are a couple pictures from the manual.

How cool! Would you consider posting the whole thing, or sending me a copy? I'd like to have a copy to go with mine. Im a weird completist like that 😂

There was also this loose page inserted into the manual.

It is almost exactly the same as one of the pages in the manual but it says "IMPORTANT!!!"

I may try to get a proper scan of this at some point.

Or, more likely, carefully make photocopies of each page and staple together a repro.

If I do, I'll report back here and offer it up.

Kind of crazy to find something like this NOS from 60 or 70 years ago.

Cool - thanks for sharing @tstone

I did some more searching and found some stuff I hadn't seen previously. Lots of good Cointronics history info here:

Highlights include a picture of 50+ BALL/WALK games being assembled in the factory and some marketing materials for the game:

Interesting...the ad makes me think the electrified Ball Walk came later...but the Model 100 manual doesn't say anything about an earlier version.

Confusing stuff.
