My Repro cabs now shipping to Socal!

so it's $175 to your door shipping in socal, but you need a minimum of 10 orders?

What if they are going to 10 different addresses in socal? does that work? And each additional at $150 is if they are going to the same address?

Not looking good on doing havocs anytime soon. Yes its 175 to any addresses and 150 additional if its going to the same address.

i really figured i'd had a much better response for the price. On a side note, i think i will be offering my cut ready cabinet files up for sale. If someone can find a shop with a cnc to cut them, they could do what i do. Or buy a shopbot like i have, buy my files, and your up and running. I'd sell my files for 200.00 each, you could make it back on the first cab you sold of each one.

well I am going into the "trying to figure it out " category.

living in northern california and all.

i probably could make just the sides, but it's almost the same price as the entire game. The cab sides kill off 2 full sheets. I could wrap and strap them to the sides of another cab and ship it along with another game. But so far, i'm mostly hearing crickets lol I've heard for a few years now how people in CA would love to have my cabs and the shipping was the deal killer. I have worked out what i think is extremely great rates with the big help of a fellow Klov member and no one really seems interested.

Phet, i don't own one of those or otherwise it would be a possibility. I am working with someone on here for bartop cabs for 60-1's though.

You need to really get the word out I never knew you existed until I stumbled onto this thread. Maybe work a deal with KLOV and either get a thread sticky or a Link to your webpage on the KLOV front page.

It's a tough market around here. Interest may pick up at some point but probably not now.

yep.. noticing how things have dropped dramatically. I am doing maybe 5% of what i have been doing for over 2 years straight. Actually starting to transition over into pinball and see if i can chase any business on that side.

Bump for a hell of a deal.. cannot believe people are not all over this.. Sad to hear its dropped off so much.

Earlier you said 2 sheets for the sides alone.. what would be the approx total wood for:

Dragons Lair
Qbert
Robotron

Have you tried to use MDF on these? I would think that would be easier for finishing and wonder if there was a reason you went to birch?
Do the pieces have any sort of guide holes for assembly?

as it stands, i'm no where near 10 cabinets to make it happen, otherwise shipping would be expensive. kinda sucks, but things are just really slow.

Believe it or not but pinball cabs are protected property and the rights holders are actively shutting people down without a license. Big time cabinets went through legal hell and their products were amazing.

Contact bay area amusements or illinois pinball to see what fee they would charge for a sub license if one can be offered. The pin manufacturers rights owners are very active.

Good luck

I don't see how they can stop you from selling an assembled piece of wood. I don't believe he plans to add art on them. He might have to list as it fits theater of magic parts rather than saying theater of magic cab but I would think it would be pretty hard tp prove he's profiting off their IP.

Im not making this up friend. Rather im trying to head off massive legal bills.

As i suggested talk to the right people before doing this. Research it on rgp if im not to be believed

Midway Cocktail with 3 Control Panels?

I have seen people with a Midway style cocktail cabinet, with a multi in it and they had a third control panel so they could play vertical and horizontal games. A friend wants something like this. Can you make that?

the entire ship to california really never went anywhere. Not enough interest. so much for "if the shipping was reasonable" claim lol! Yeah, i have been thinking of the bartop 60 - 1 lately. I think i will order an I-inc 19" 4:3 aspect lcd and design it around that. Also need to get a trackball here too. I will design it around easily attainable parts, so once you get it, everything fits right in.

What about my question about a 3 control panel cocktail? This bwould be shipped to NY.

Awesome. I think the bartop cab would be a decent seller. Hoping to possibly make one of those over the summer for my boys.
