Cabinets come in either Birch ply or Black melamine, or White melamine depending on the cabinet. I need a minimum of 10 cabinets ordered from any number of people to get this special deal. Here's the list of cabinets available, more pictures on my website in my signature at the bottom.

Go with the Birch if your cab isn't a tron or krull..they are so much lighter and of the highest quality...Brett does a super job..I tried to find a flaw and haven't. I hope you get some support out West...In addition to that Krull I will getting a tron from you too down the road..:D Got this baby on the way that might slow me down for a while..

thanks man! Galaga works great in black melamine, so does a starwars upright.

nope.. the only thing you would really have to paint, would be the back edge of the game top, inside the rear vent cutouts (if your picky) and the edge of the piece that seperates the upper and lower doors. The only thing odd about melamine on the Tron, the way midway slotted the back bottom panel, and the game bottom panel, when i cut it for T-molding, there's a little piece that is basically "free" from the cabinet. Mine is an exact copy of the original, the only thing i can figure is midway didn't cut the slot as deep as i do, i'm using a whiteside 1/2" 3 blade slot cutter, 1/16" thick.

I had been using a brad nailer, and nailing into the face of that little section, before i T-slot it. If i did that to melamine, it would just destroy it. My only solution is to NOT slot it all the way to the very bottom on the back of the game, but stop about 3 - 4 inches from the bottom so the slot cutter doesn't cut the piece and make it free floating. Still, tron in black melamine would look kick ass.

Brett,
I guess the white melamine would be great for some atari cabs too...I mean you could actually install the atari vinyl art right on top I suppose as long as the surface is smooth...save you the trouble of painting...atari actually silkscreened the art right onto the vinyl already installed on their cabs...from what I remember from some of the info on various atari sites....

heh i wish i could Djw.. RR, in talks with a manufacturer to have a run of melamine done with black on one side and white on the other.

If i can get a group of ten orders, i can ship to washington for around 210 per cabinet.

That would be sweet...hey I think punchout cab in melamine would be awesome..its all shiny black to that cab...that finish would look better than some paint jobs I've seen done to these...I would probably take two if you ever get them programmed into your cnc..I have both punchout and super...new cabs would make for quick swap..

if/when people ask for cabs, i'll start a list and update it as i go. I have had one Klov member agree to purchase 1 - 2 cabs if i get around 8 - 9 cabinets ordered.

WOW!! JUST WOW!!

Do you have the measurments to do a Track & Field UR??

Yes, i've built TnF uprights, they are in the list on the first page. I do not have the brackets that bolts the cabinet together. My solution is to staple it together like any other cabinet, and just put carriage bolts in the holes to make it look factory correct. Here's some pics of the first one, Seawolf in Chicago owns this one.

I really think you should repro the PC-10 countertops cabinets. Those could be shipped in kit form, or even shipped fully assembled in a large monitor box would be cheap enough. Someone would also need to fab control panels, but I think there are several fabricators that could take care of that.

I have one..just the sides were damaged eons ago and the game never made it into an arcade..in fact the locks were never installed. Could you just sell the sides? Thats all I need to repair my cab.

+1 on that.

I think it's small enough that it would be really easy to ship, and that would make it sell well.

It would probably be the only kind I could afford to have shipped.

i probably could make just the sides, but it's almost the same price as the entire game. The cab sides kill off 2 full sheets. I could wrap and strap them to the sides of another cab and ship it along with another game. But so far, i'm mostly hearing crickets lol I've heard for a few years now how people in CA would love to have my cabs and the shipping was the deal killer. I have worked out what i think is extremely great rates with the big help of a fellow Klov member and no one really seems interested.

Phet, i don't own one of those or otherwise it would be a possibility. I am working with someone on here for bartop cabs for 60-1's though.

Still waiting on some info to modify my gravitar for it. Also need the lower bezel retainer and cp. To make sure everything is located properly.
