Hey guys, hope all is well. First of all, I would like to thank everyone from this wonderful and outstanding forum for all of their help and assistance. You all are the best, and its just a nice warm feeling inside,Cheers ! So I am a big fan of Pole Position, ever since I was a little kid. I always played the Cockpit version in Five Towns,NY at a place called Flea Port, back in the 80's. And I recently started hunting around for a game, even though I know the game is problematic and getting it into my basement will be a problem. I purchased the game from a fellow KLOV member and seller Pat9000 [Jeff]. Great guy and has a nice selection of games. Its working and the cab is in very good condition. The glass bezel is scratched and needs to be replaced. The game is in my garage, and I need to dismantle it,somehow to get it into my basement. I know some of you guys were successful doing it, and any tips would be greatly appreciated, also thanks for the PM guys, you know who you are :D
And finally, since the games is working, well I seen it working,I'm not sure if something went wrong along the way,so I need the tips or links to bulletproof it . Many thanks everyone !

I have some pics, some are from the warehouse I picked it up from and the rest are from the trailer last night, enjoy

Thanks JC !
Tbbk, I know you have been through the same thing. I already got a few pointers from other members regarding the breakdown. I'm just hoping it goes smooth

Pole Position Cockpit break question

Can any of you with a cockpit shoot me an image of the break pedal wiring. Mine is acting up and not sure if perhaps I mis-wired it when it took it out to clean up.

If you can't grab a pic at least just note what wire goes where on the break. Obviously there's 3 connections on the switch and only 2 wires...

Thanks!

Hey guys, hope all is well.Yesterday morning I started the process of dismantling the cockpit in order to bring it into my basement. I would like to thank Scottmaggie [Scott] for all of his help during the process, especially the texts, many many thanks. I also would like to thank other KLOV members,Tooz,Phetishboy,Tighe and the list goes on and on.You all are the best and thank you. So I took many pics, so I have some kind of tutorial for anyone needing help with the similar situation. The dismantling took a few hours, and the cleanup was extensive,I found a lot of junk as I was stripping it.As for as cutting it in half,I butchered it,and I'm not happy with the result. But the metal plates would make up for the damage.I saw some things that raised my eyebrows, the transformer was not bolted down to the cab,and I see a lot of wires spliced and modified by the edge connectors, not sure what it is. I also have many questions, and I hope you all don't mind. First thing this first, what are the preventive maintenance need to be done to all of the electrics, items to be replaced ? Should I do anything do the monitor ? Where can I find the molding for the cab, anywhere local ? I want to change all the speakers, what should I go with.Basically I'm doing a whole restore. I have a few more, but it will come to me later. I am going to Home Depot today, to look for a steel plate to join the cab back together,I bought "L" brackets, but I rather the steel plate. Also,I need to pick up Wood Bondo, because unfortunately my hand slipped going down the stairs and the cab took a two step free fall and knocked the board housing out of place, its a good thing I took out the control panel, monitor and transformer. I damaged the ends of the cab,so the need to be repaired. I'm picking up Rustoleum Satin White and black for touch ups. Enjoy the pics, and any help would be greatly appreciated
