My PlayChoice 10 Official Price Guide...

I'm up to $130 so far. Thanks to everyone who hs helped out (financially or otherwise).

I contacted my health insurance to see if they would be covering my visit to Baltimore. They said that the Dr. I am going to see (Dr. Vinay Chaudhry) is In-Network so they will cover the costs after my $3,000 out of pocket expenses. This is good news since my Out-Of-Network out of pocket expenses is $10,000.

The Only Game That I've Seen That I Cannot Explain...

We've all wondered about the three untouchables for a long time. We've been informed by Rory that the Ninja Gaiden III PCB does in fact exist as he posted the picture...

Then we've also been informed that there are PCBs that used to be R.B.I. Baseball because we've seen this picture...

We don't know why the R.B.I. met it's demise or why we haven't seen one appear pre-op.There's lots of speculation but no hard evidence or proof.

I've heard nothing...and I mean nothing about Shatterhand. I don't have any info on that one that's totally legit.

However, on February 20, 2011, as game sold that I had never heard of and had never seen a cart like before. This was the listing's info...

"Here is a Playchoice 10 game cartridge: FINAL BREAKBALL !!!
I got this game a while ago with a collection of games and boards I bought. I don't know the game and I'm not sure if It's an original PlayChoice 10 game. It says on the front 'final breakball kdm'"

Here is the picture that was supplied for the listing...

Immediately it is obvious that this game is either legit or a homebrew PCB cart. It is not the same shape as any other game on the market. It has the telltale motherboard connector to let you know it is a PlayChoice 10 game. It's not a Nintendo Super System game as the motherboard connector is too small and not centered. It has no 8 pin security chip. It is the only game that I could not explain in all off the time I've been researching and collecting. I of course tried to buy it but was outbid. I wasn't obsessed with getting the game so I only bid $50. I just thought it was interesting and was willing to pay to put it in my system to see what happened. There were no pictures of it on the title menu or the game title screen. If someone on these forums bought it, please inform me...I am very curious.

Oh, and it ended up selling for...$64.02

Last bump of the thread as I have no more interesting tidbits about PlayChoice 10. Now you know what I know. Thanks to everyone who has helped and given well wishes.

The bid got too high for me...But I thought something was fishy about them games. Happy I didn't bid of them..Oh thanks for the Price Guide. It was very interesting on how you broke down the games and what some are going for now. I guess it really depends on how bad somebody wants it..but thanks and get better.

Those were definitely protos. The problem is not everyone has experience with proto stuff from the NES/SNES time period.

Just "because" it doesn't have factory labels doesn't mean it's not a proto. That's basic 101 on these items. I've picked up protos for Nintendo Super System stuff from the same area source (NHL STANLEY CUP) and these were bonafide.

Yes, you can make these types of games with conversions, heck you can make anything, but the NEW GAME is a giveaway of them being real because of the amount of programming/hacking that would have needed to be done.

I have around 800 NES and SNES protos and there was nothing any different from those to these, if you choose a game to resell for something like this, you would have picked SHatterhand/RBI, etc..not these two games...

I wish I would have bought Final Breakball, I was slow on that...

But I have a wealth of experience in protos from this time period for all systems, but they are bonafide; you can't expect a guy who gets them from a guy in the industry/distributor to know all the questions being asked to him.

Just like If you have some guy selling an NES proto and he hasn't even opened it before; asking him tons of things may get to him....

Oh, and just to clarify, NEW Game in menu, NEW GAME in instructions; I don't have custom bios...not sure just by seeing that you can get custom bios but on both menu and instructions on both, that is what you see and I don't have a modified PCB.

1. NEW Game 1
2. Contra
3. Rygar
4. Mega Man 3
5. New Game 1

That is what appears

Thanks for all the help you guys have given. I appreciate the prayers and feedback on my list. I thought I was out of PC10 factoids but a ne one has come up. A Roger Clemen's MVP Baseball prototype on eBay right now. I will give my review after the sale ends (I am not buying it...just giving opinions).

Would love to help but just had a death in the family but I wanted to *bump your thread and tell everyone what an absolute pleasure it is to do business with you my pc 10 kept the children in the family busy as hell while we adults handled funeral arangments.

My condolences for you and your family.

What are the instructions for? or are there any?

Both instructions on both games say NEW GAME 1

I took a pic of them and posted them on my Facebook but I don't have a way to upload anything to YouTube (I've never posted anything to YouTube) but I know this as I tested all this again yesterday:

I have an unmodified Single Monitor Playchoice these were tested on.

I have an arcade, I do NOT have anything set to FREE PLAY. Both games says NEW GAME 1 on menu screen and both instructions says NEW GAME 1 as well.

I also won Roger Clemens, so I will test that as well when I get it.

Both of these are authentic as I stated before. Roger Clemens looks even MORE authentic (has same EPROMs and sticker as my unreleased NHL Stanley Cup for Nintendo Super System.

Thanks DreamTR for letting us know the skinny on those prototypes. I'll make sure to note that you have tested them and the results. If you ever get the chance to get the YouTube videos, I'd love to see the games in action.

No offense, but could you have posted a smaller picture of it. I think the blind could have a better chance seeing it. Not trying to be a smart a$$ but why do some people who try to prove stuff or sell stuff either post $hitty pic, not in focus, or small pics like this to where you can't hardly see them. But thanks for the small pic. I guess you a least posted pics. So, really I can't bit$h about it.

No offense but I didn't do it so the world could see proof or anything. I posted them on Facebook with Android pics. That's it. I merely copied them to photobucket.

Honestly, everyone who has seen them saw them fine on Facebook and could see the names of the games clearly, so either you just can't see it or there is a problem with photobucket...

EDIT: Yep, it's a problem with photobucket. They can be viewed fine on my Facebook, but good stuff thinking I did that on purpose.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support. I hope everyone likes the price list. I welcome any and all feedback.
